    Novocherkassk is the town of Cossack historical past and glory. It was founded in 1805 by the hero of the Patriotic conflict of 1812, M. I. PIatov. The historic center of the town is concentrated in the Ataman Palace, the Triumph Arch and the monuments of Ataman Y. Baklanov, legendary Ermak Timofeevich and M. I.
