    1977 I filled up in Houston @ $0.39.9. Got into Chicago the next day and filled up @ $0.75.9.
    Made me think I had been in the Twilight Zone for a while.

    Carter did a lot of destruction to America but he finally did something people approve of.

    Carter's post Presidency was marred by too much personal meddling into foreign affairs. The Carter Center unwittingly or otherwise, helped prop up several authoritarian socialist regimes under the guise of non-partisan election monitoring. History will remember Carter as a very unpopular, weak and failed President. Weak on economics, weak on foreign policy. His Presidency, Post Presidency, and his anti-Semitic leanings are being ignored and/or massaged by those who are currently trying to rehabilitate his image. His only accomplishment worth remembering was to support and secure the building of the Alaskan Pipeline. The biggest lie ever perpetrated about Carter before he was elected was that he was a folksy, good natured outsider, when in fact he was a big democrat powerbroker.
