Colt 1911a1 barrel question

I have a Colt barrel with F forward of the lugs and P on the left lug but no COLT 45 AUTO roll mark. How do you explain the absence of the roll mark?

I assume there is no boxed C on the right lug? If so, probably just missed getting the roll mark. I've got a couple Colt barrels that missed markings, too. One is 7 only.

You are right; no box C. Can you share your opinion of how the omission of the roll mark might affect the value? I'd like to know before I list it for sale?

Even though it's authentic, some people will question its originality. All you can do is tell them the mark just didn't get applied.
