    1913 Colt 1911?

    image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I've never posted in a forum before so please bare with me.

I picked up my colt from a family friend with a FFL for $700. After all the research and reading I've done, the only thing I could figure out was that it was made in 1913.
    The SN is 802xx,

Markings on the left side of the slide read,

    "PATENTED APR.20.1897. SEPT.9.1902. (Colt logo) COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG CO
    DEC.19.1905. FEB.14.1911. AUG.19.1913. HARTFORD,CT.U.S.A"

It has "AA" stamped on the side of the frame just in front of the slide release and what looks like a bomb (circle w/4 wavy lines coming off the top) just above the mag release button.

Can anyone give me an idea of the value and any other information about it?

    Thanks
    Pat

Pictures are too small to tell much about it, but receiver is apparently made by Springfield Armory in 1914, with a Colt slide. AA indicates rebuild at Augusta Arsenal, and was probably given a phosphate (Parkerized) finish along with the mixed parts.
