Ithaca 19111 double stamp

Friend showed me this interesting Ithaca 1911a1 . Both slide and Frame stamped. M1911a1
Appears to fall into correct serial range for this. Slide lock is a bad reblue. Serial number is oddly spaced.
Any comments or observations appreciated.

The serial number was applied after the pistol was finished.

Looks like ghost #s at 4 & 7.

You are seeing the base that the numbers are on. It shows on the 2, 4, and 7. Numbers were stamped deep enough that part of the base shows.
