    US Navy 1911 SRS check please

    looked at a friend's 1911 a few nights ago,
    he inherited it, (no pics) but basically a 90-95% condition pistol
    been in his family as long as he can remember

    he will order a Colt letter for it,

    wondering if it may have a hit in SRS,

    This series is one of two that enjoys a 1913 patent date on the slide. Sorry, but no joy in SRS

                    Hi Ken... actually it is 738, I had 739 about 5 years ago... They are both DEL marked guns...I'll give you a buzz the next day or so... Ed

                      At one time had DEL marked No. 825, which was a worn but original specimen. Sold it and a few years later saw it sporting a brand new blue finish.

                        Johhny...Was talking to the new owner of 825 and we both are trying to find any info on the DEL guns. Did you happen to find any when you owned it.
