I know one thing for sure about this pistol. It's been scrubbed on hard and reblued. All the edges are rounded. This really takes away any real collector's value.

It is the Colt Pocket Hammer model in .38 Auto. It came out the same year as the Colt Pocket Hammerless in .32 ACP, and Colt used the "Hammer" and "Hammerless" to distinguish the two models.

As noted, it has been buffed hard and re-blued, as it was originally finished in the bright charcoal blue.

That is about all my knowlage on the pistol.

This is what the pistol looked like originally... but mine have a 'spur' hammer instead.
