I have some records from Lt William E Massey, Pilot in the 8th AF in 1944 who was shot down over France on his 19th Bombing mission on 4/19/1944. His issued M1911A1 had serial number 1150594. Could you do a SRC check for that gun? I don't have the pistol but thought it might have survived as Lt Massey was rescued by the French Underground.

Sorry but my computer crashed. Glad I had backed it up. Thanks for checking the serial number. If I understand your records correctly the 9th Service Command would have inventoried these M19911A1s in 1946 after the War.Comment

From the SRS records all that is know is that the pistols were in the hands of the service command on that date.Comment
