    P-38 question

This may be the wrong place to ask this, but I did not know where else to go. I am looking at two different P-38s (pistols, not aircraft just to be clear). Both were made in 1944 by Walther (ac 44 code). Both are free of import marks and are in about the same condition as far as finish goes. The only real difference is that one has all matching numbers and the other has a serial number on the barrel that does not match the rest of the pistol. How much more should I be willing to pay for the one with the matching numbers compared to the one that does not match?

I would say at least 50% more, and the higher the condition the more the difference. To cut down on confusion, the official designation was P.38 .

The "other" P-38 will run a bit more.
