M1911A1 Authority

Hello Jouster 2 Shooting Forum,

I purchased a M1911A1 from the CMP last year; it's a 1945 Remington Rand (slide and receiver).

It came with a checkered mainspring housing and I'm hoping someone with extensive knowledge of M1911A1 components can identify the manufacturer.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it very much.

Post some pics of the mainspring housing, I'm sure several on here can identify what you have.

I have an original 2.35 million Colt but don't have a picture of it handy, but here is an original 2.33 million Colt. This one is also finished in Parko-Lubrite, and neither the receiver or slide were sandblasted before finish. It too has the C in square barrel.
