    Inherited a Remington-Rand .45 Help

    Hello all,
I recently received a Remington Rand .45 from my father who was a Marine in the Korean war. He didn't tell me much about the weapon. He did say that it is from WW2 , the holster is original and the clip. Not sure.
I have been told that the safety, slide latch and the mainspring housing may not be original. If that is true, can anyone tell me how to acquire the parts and how much this gun may be worth with holster?
    Thank you for you help,
    Steeler3258

The slide stop if post WWII commercial, but can't tell much about the safety lock, and can't see the mainspring housing. Manufactured in November 1944.

I'm no expert on the parts, but that is a very nice inherited RR! Congrats!

Steeler posted on another forum and I referred him over here. I know there some very knowledgeable individuals here that will help him understand just what he has and if all the parts match. He has been told about the slide stop, perhaps the safety and it seems to have an flat main spring housing. Thanks, RJay

The mainspring housing is arched and is the correct type, but can't tell if it is correct for the Remington Rand.

Would need to see a picture of the MSH from the back. Also a picture of the safety lock.

Maybe it would just be better for me to post the photo, and you compare them to your pistol. The serrated Remington Rand mainspring housing has 8 ribs where the Colt and Ithaca have 7.
