No records of that type were established. Occasionally there will be a record of a date that it was shipped or received at a military facility, and it may be years after it was made.

Have you ever seen one (Remington Rand 1911a1) with a rack number pressed or dremeled in the bottom of one of the plastic Keys grips?

How do you know it's a rack number? Usually, those were painted on the grips.
