Help with transition barrel authenticity .

Looking for opinions on this barrel, especially the HP stamp. Thanks for any insight.

It doesn't look right. Sistema barrels look a lot like that. Look real close with a magnifying glass and see if there are traces of a serial number on the top of the chamber.

Can you get a sharp macro shot of the HP marking?

No traces of any other markings , the hood doesn't appear to be out of round or have any flat spots

I have several modern reproduction BP revolvers that were defarbed ( removed Italian proof marks etc). One is Pietta Starr repro. The barrel is round with the markings removed. You won't see any flat spots of tell tale signs. It was done by a professional who then rust blued it for me. I think JP is a bit concerned with the HP stamps on you barrel. The ends a appear to be a little rounded which would indicate they were engraved using a pantograph machine. The upper and lower legs of the "H" especially. How about the lugs?

No markings on the lugs, is that what your asking?
