    Model 1911 Grip screws

Does anyone make a replacement thick head grip screw as was used in WWI era model 1911s? The later 1911A1s seem a lot thinner. I'd like to replace some buggered up ones on a WWI vintage pistol.

You might want to try the for sale/want to buy forum.

Alot of guys are buying that type of stuff trough Colt as they sell parts for their repro 1911,s. I cannot say for sure how close the grip screws match up to the originals though. You might email or call Colt customer service.

I just bought the normal grip screws from Colt's for mine, but Cylinder and Slide has reproductions.

zipflash07 on E-Bay often will list original screws, grip etc.. He is a straight dealer in WW1 Colt parts. I've been happy with everything he has sold me.
