    Mom is on board now.

My mom has wanted to try a 1911 since she picked mine up a while back. She didn't get to try mine though and this weekend she said screw it, she was just going to buy one and if she didn't like it, she'd sell it to me.

She bought a Rock Island Armory Full Size Tactical. Got it to the range and on the first shot she jumped up, spun around (kept the gun pointed downrange) and shouted "WOW, I LOVE IT!"

I added an extended slide release the next day. Will probably add an extended mag release later.
I own firearms not to fight against my government, but to ensure I will not have to.

Forgot to say, she is 62, has small hands and doesn't like allot of recoil. There are lots of reasons I recommend the 1911 for women.
