    "TZ"marked 1911A1 replacement slides

During one of my last pistol qualifications with the .45, I noticed that the slide was marked "TZ" with a number. I later, (much later) found that these slides were made under contract with Israeli Military Industries due to a shortage of serviceable USGI slides. Does anyone know the specifics of this contract. I am interested in dates, quantity, specs, and where these slides were used. Thanks for your attention.

After the National Match pistol program ended in 1968 some six or seven different manufacturers were given contracts at different times to supply replacement slides, with Israeli Military Industries being one of those. They were fully hardened slides manufactured to military specifications.

Forgot to add, but it probably also has the number 7790314 on it, which was the government stock number for the replacement slide. IMI also made some replacement barrels.
