Original Cast from what I was told ????

This came from a Garage sale sworn up and down it was sent to Remington as a pilot. What are the thoughts. For $2.00 the story doesn't mean anything either way but the casting numbers may. Rick B

and interesting story. It does appear to be a forging (not a casting) for a 1911 - type frame.

Looks like a stress fracture marked in red , could be a reject forging, nice find for $2
