Have you tried the Tisas 1911?

Made in Turkey, it is selling at Buds for $329 shipped! In the pics it looks great.

I've never heard anything bad about them.

Read the reviews on them, picked one up & ran 2 clips thru it. Runs great with no hiccups, 1911A1. Fit & finish is very good & very accurate. No regrets on buying it. Hammer forged frame & slide, can't go wrong for the price.

Sounds like they’re a lot better than they used to be. Had one years ago and it felt undersized, and I hated the stubby hammer

I looked at one recently and it was stamped as Knoxville TN. Was it made there or is that the distributor? I thought it was very well made in finish and fit of parts that I could see without breaking it down. No frills but a basic 1911 A1 with the 70 series system.
