Just bought a Colt Mk IV Officer's .45. 3 1/2".

Does it use the same weight recoil springs as the GM for a given load?

not sure of weight, but those short 45's have a different spring system, (kinda like the old Detonics multisprings, usually)

I believe they come from Colt with a double recoil spring, but Wolff offers a single spring in the standard weight of 22 and 24 #. The 22# is considered standard.

Thanks. Wilson has a replacement but it requires machining. Will check out Wolff.
