barrel question

Hello
Have a 1911 barrel marked s p on one side of the lug the other side has a tiny cross cannon cartouche is this a ww2 barrel

Yes it is. Normally, the crossed cannons are only a partial strike. You actually have a M1911A1 barrel, rather than M1911. The last SA M1911 barrels were made in 1917.

Thank you Scott, bought a beat up 1918 Colt 1911 the other day it had that barrel ,colt 1911a1 grips , slide had a circle "s" stamped at the rear behind serrations, but best part it had an original keyhole lanyard loop mag in very good condition in it.
