    Singer Barrel?

I recently dissassembled a parts gun (1911) given to me by my dad 10 years ago. I checked the barrel markings against a collectors book and, to me, it looks like a singer barrel. The barrel is in good condition with the only mark being a "P" on the left lug. I examined the barrel and there are no other visible markings or unusual wear patterns that I can see. One question I do have is the "P" is rotated 90 degrees compared to the picture in thebook. These are the best pics I can do with my camera. Any info is appreciated.

Are there any markings on top rear of the barrel? Any underneath in front of the lugs? How about if you are looking through the barrel at the rear, is there an H on the back of the hood? Sometimes the markings are not complete and may be missed. Then again, there may not be any other markings. Just asking.

No other markings are visible, thats what's puzzling. I'm not trying to pass it off as a singer, just looking for more clarity. Thanks.
