Is anyone familiar with the Kimber 22LR conversion kits? I bought a used upper (no box nor mag) and searched ebay for some mags. Most of the listings state "not for use on Kimber 22LR conversion platium". The kits that are sold now are stamped 22LR Target while mine is stamped 22LR Conversion so I'm wondering if mine is considered the platium model and if so what is different about the mags where they won't work. All factory mags found so far for sale have been plastic.

I think what I may have is an older Kimber kit made by Ciener that takes the heavy aluminum magazines but I could be wrong.Last edited by Allen; 02-07-2014, 09:38. -
I have both the conversion upper by Kimber and their Target .22 and neither had mags that looked like that if I remember correctly.USMC 1969-1993 6333/8153/9999

Thanks for the reply. Heres a link on the above mag. All the others for sale are plastic and state "will not fit Kimber platium".
