1911 Springfield barrel marking

Clawson's "small" book shows barrels marked in a similar manner but not quite like this with the "P" being larger. Anyone know what's going on?

Allen: Clawson shows line drawings for barrel markings in his book. What we need to provide good information for you is:
1) More pictures of the barrel, showing each side of the lug, top of the chamber, bottom, transition from chamber to bore on the bottom.
2) Pictures of the pistol and/or specific serial range

Then, we might be able to look at other examples in the same range and offer opinions on the barrel.
