    usmc1909 grips

Have a 90+% USMC 1909 with bakelite grips that do not appear to have been altered to fit. I understand that the grips should be checkered walnut. Does anyone have a pair of the USMC grips they want to sell, or know of any repro grips. Thanks, Dick

I believe Eagle Grips make smooth walnut stocks for the Colt New Service revolver. Not sure if they would checker them but I'm sure you could ask them.

Thank you. The USMC version of the 1909 had grips that were narrower front to back at the heel than those of the standard New Service, or the USA or USN service models. Standard New service grips do not fit them. However, I will contact Eagle to see if they can help. Again, thank you for taking the time to answer. Regards, Dick
