    1911 skeleton stock?

Some pictures have surfaced of a WW1 type 1911 delivered to France with a skeleton stock

I am familiar with the wooden stock that supposedtly was used in Lebanon but I never saw or heard about such a contraption produced by American makers of the Colt 1911 during or around WW1.
Is that a bubba or is it legit?
    Best regards

I think it is a home made rig but it is very interesting. How does the top attach to the pistol?

I do not know... that is all I got those pictures. All I can see a hole in the back strap.
Some collectors in Europe seem to think that it was the way some 1911 were delivered to France during the first war.

That one probably came as close to France as the other stocks came to Lebanon.
