Colt Model 01911 WWI Repro Question

The WWI repro's with the Carbonia blue finish. Serial numbers for these are typically something like xxxxWMK or xxxxWWI. I saw one yesterday that has the serial number A1.
White Colt outer box and the included repro brown box both have the serial number A1 also.

Would this have been the 1st one produced? or nothing special?

I have seen the WWII, WWI which both used the initials WMK prefix or suffix in the serial number and the reproduction Black Army with WWI but never one with A1. Did you see a model #?

Colt has been known to stamp special serial numbers on pistols special ordered by groups such as members of military units. This might be from one of those special orders.

Brent Turchi @ Colt confirmed it's an O1911 that was made in Nov 2006, but apparently he had no information on why it has a special serial number.
