Having been an Army MP, this one kinda appealed to me when I saw it and read the documentation. It was reported lost in November 1945. Obviously, it was recovered. It was sold in 1961 through the DCM. It went through August Arsenal sometime after WWII where it was refurbished and stored until sold.
BTW, APO 846, in 1945 was Fort Buchanan, in Puerto Rico. If this pistol could talk, perhaps it would tell its story with a little Spanish accent and a lot of flair!
