    Check out this 1911

    I always wondered if my 1911 was a put together or built this way at the Augusta Arsenal. Frame is a 1918 colt with an Ithaca slide. HS barrel. 001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg

        I wasn't sure if when they did a rebuild if they would bring it up to the A1 standard and mark the frame

          Fairly typical AA rework. A mix of parts if pretty common. They would have added the arched MSH and other parts to bring it closer to M1911 A1 configuration.

              I've seen at least one AA rework that retained its flat MSH, a really nice one, and I've been whupping my own fanny for passing up that gun ever since.
