    Not a 1911, but a 1902.......

LGS got in a Model 1902 Military .38 ACP last week. I got a chance to go and shoot it today. It was a lot of fun, to say the least. A friend had some .38 ACP cases mixed into his supply of .38 Super cases. In the .38 ACP cases we loaded 124 grain cast lead slug and used 3.0 grains of Bullseye powder. Not a lot of recoil, but stout enough to cycle the action. Only shot it at 7 yards, but all rounds were in the 10 ring when we did our part. The old girl can still dance. May try to get it from the dealer if we can strike a reasonable deal.

Wonderful to get to spend time at the range with such a wonderful pistol. As to buying... if possible do it! with good quality reloads it'll give you a blast! Sincerely. bruce.

I think the dealer is thinking above $850. I am thinking less than that.

The dealer sold it after I passed on it at about the price quoted on it. He sold it for about $1K. The buyer got a good deal, he is a collector. I would not have shot it much and probably made a paperweight of it.
