I was on another board and a person had a 1943 REM Rand with a commercial slide. Claimed it to be rare. The gun was parked.
1943 Reming Rand Slide question.

Remington Rand made some pistols that were not part of the military contract, but they were not made for commercial sale. They had no military markings, inspection stamps, or acceptance marks, but the slides markings were identical to the military slides. Most of these pistols were made as gifts to employees after the war. One group of approximately 145 were simply numbered from 1 to 145, while another group had an ERRS prefix to the serial number from ERRS No. 1 to something less than 100.
There is a fake slide with the logo taken from a piece of Remington Rand business equipment. Seems like it is a globe, but can't remember the other markings. -
I remember you posting about this a couple years ago. There was some 150 made "unmarked" for employees plus the ERS guns. The "globes" were suspected products of Huntington Beach./Ken Hill

Sure. I thought it was wrong, but I didn't give my 2 cents. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1519455881652312/Comment

I'm a member of that group and can't find the pistol in question. Who posted it? Can you copy the pictures and post them here?Phillip McGregor (OFC)

A good friend and fellow poster sent me the image of the fake Remington Rand slide. The logo was on some of Remington Rand's equipment, and the circle in the middle was a globe, but the detail, which was much to complicated to pantagraph, didn't make it to the pistol slide.
He also sent this one showing the logo on a decal on a typewriter.
