    Magazine Question

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of M1911/A1 magazines that marked the toe with a serif M (read with the toe up, bottom of the M towards the magazine)? The magazine base is pinned, and it's a deep blue. I can post pictures later if needed.
    Thanks

I think we will need close up detailed pictures. I have never heard of any mags that have an "M" stamp on them. Maybe an "A" that got double stamped? Just a guess on my part.

Here is a picture of the marking; it looks like I got the orientation wrong.

It is not a currently known mag marking. It almost looks like someone may have done it themselves as the marking looks a bit rough and unevenly stamped.

Definately not a US military mag mark.

That was my assumption, but because it has a pinned floor plate I also assume that it isn't a modern magazine, but I am curious as to who made it.
I might add that the floor plate is about .030 inches longer than one of my other pinned magazines (S marked).

Do you have a right side photo showing the pins and the magazine catch slot?

As soon as I can dig it out from where I put it, I'll put a picture of the pins and magazine catch slot.

                  Thanks for the extra photos.

I thought possibly Argentina. Some later issue have a round end magazine catch slot where they milled i/o punched the slot. Argentinas typically have small head pins and these look a little larger than normal. I don't believe this magazine from DGFM-FMAP or Ballester. Possibly Spanish?

Sorry I'm not much help on this one.
