I use to find them at rifle ranges and often in cigar boxes at gun shows, sometimes shooters would
give you one. They really are not worth anything, but interesting and some do have some history. Now
these are real wildcats not some cartridge made-up at a reloading bench.
In my photo on the far left is a 22 K-Hornet and far right is the 450 Alaskan which I loaded for my friend
who had a Winchester 71 converted to the 450 Alaskan
The 240 Page was one of Warren Pages cartridges, he was the Gun Editor for Field & Stream for years.
The OKH cartridges were developed by O'Neil-Keith-Hopkins
The Griffin & Howe 350 Magnum has the G&H 350 Mag headstamp and the 35 and 400 Whelen date back to
the 1920's. The 450 Watts mag dates back to the 50's and is longer than the 458 Win.
Some years ago, my friend who was an Associate Editor at Gun Digest, sent about 15 or 20 of my wildcats to
Frank Barnes. he was able to identify them and took photos of certain ones for Cartridges of the world.dscn2576.jpg
