    French 30-06 ?

    Friend has some. Headstamp 12 o-clock 4-54. 9o-clock SF. 3 is I. Bottom 7.62 . Is this corrosive? Is it French? any good? thanks in advance. mike

      It sure sounds like it is. Bad stuff and yes it is corrosive primed. Has a reputation for having uneven pressure variations and bad brass. Berdan primed too. If it were me and if it's in good condition I would pull the bullets and use them but dump the powder and scrap the brass.
