As an ex Rendezvous(er) I enjoyed reading about the real thing.
It seems that the "rendezvous" depicted in the Charlton Heston
movie "The Mountain Men" wasn't far off the mark. -

No, no pics. I really enjoyed the four rendezvous I attended.
On my first I came in 2nd on the rifle shoot. Score was a tie
so we shot at a playing card to decide - I lost.
Primitive site was neat, tepees, the whole deal, nothing modern.
Tomahawk and knife throwing. Lots of fun over a weekend.
Still have my rifle (Lyman great plains 50 cal caplock)Comment
