TC Hawken Trigger Adjustment Set Screw Coming Loose

On my .50 cal Thompson Center Hawken rifle, the set screw between the forward trigger and the aft (set) trigger comes loose upon pulling the triggers, firing the rifle, etc. I need to readjust the screw after every other shot or so in order to get the set triggers to work properly. Any advice on how to take the wobble / play out of the set screw?

    Thanks in advance.

Loctite or nail polish on screw threads.

        I should have mentioned, . . . .

If using Locktite, do NOT use the red . . . .use the blue or green.

Should I put the Locktite on the threads before I rotate the set screw in, or around the threads and let it penetrate down after I get the set screw in the proper position?? Not sure how long it takes Locktite to dry and set.

            Either way . . .

You will have plenty of time to adjust the “set” of the trigger BEFORE the Blue Locktite sets up.

Another thing would be the kids rubber cement for school projects. Hold the screw in place but still can be adjusted in future.
