    Scheutzen black powder

    It's expensive but has a big following... any experiences or thoughts?

    Back in 91 the Single Shot Exchange did a comprehensive study
    of the leading Black Powders;
    The Powders were: Elephant 2F,Schuetzen 2F,Goex 2F, Goex Ctg, Kik 2F and Swiss 1.5F.
    To cut a long bunch of testing short, the results were - from zero to Ten [zero being best}
    Elephant -9
    Kik -8
    Schuetzen -5
    Goex Ctg -5
    Goex 2F -4
    Swiss -0

    On Schuetzen, the one you're asking about, they said:
    "Velocities were good but the extreme spreads were more extreme than
    the other powders tested.
    It also said that KIK [the powder I use] was the best buy in terms of cost/results.

    If you need more info, ask.

      Whoops, looked at wrong date. It was a July 2004 issue.

            Schuetzen is owned by the same company that makes Swiss Black Powder.

            Schutetzen is good black powder and is as good as or slightly better than Goex.
