I bought this from another member off the another forum in a FTF.
Small ring mauser made as a carbine for Engineering and Machine gun units as an alternative for the full length Gew98.
Non-import marked Erfurt. Barrel is frosted but strong rifling I don't see any serious pitting. Nice cartouches.
The rifle itself was a sporter rescue. The original owner took the cut down stock and restored it to full length which why the barrel bands are replaced. Tried to get pictures of the stock pair.
Bolt matches itself.
Action, floorplate, follower, action screws match themselves
Upper and lower barrel bands are replacements.
