I going to let go my Winchester Mdl. 70 Van Orden Rifle. This rifle is in 30-06 and was sold originally to William C. Larkin. I have a copy of the build card and SRS letter and other documentation for the rifle. Serial No. 254541. I have pictures that can be sent to you via email. The rifle is in 90% plus condition. It has a 10X Lyman Supertarget Spot scope that comes with it. Asking price of $7500 on the forum and it will have a higher reserve on Gun Broker. So this Van Orden rifle was originally sold to a civilian, it's not "U.S. Property" marked, is this correct?___________________________________________

My understanding from the information that I can find, he was on the Army Shooting Team. He shot this rifle until he traded it back to Van Orden for a newer one. It was then sent back to Winchester and a new Winchester barrel was installed. It came back to Van Orden and then sold again. The info is on the Van Orden build card.Comment
