I have tried there, but, pieces are too big for my needs and WAY too expensive.

Look up McMaster/Carr and they should have what you need. If it is too big, you can use a band saw and cut it to size. It being brass, you might even use some sheet metal shears and be able to cut it. They have a large selection and I use them most of the time when I buy things for the shop.
