For sale is an authentic WRA M1 Garand stock from the GHD era. Before you get too excited, this stock is far from perfect. There is a lot of storage "chatter" on the underside forward of the trigger group and some old damage at the butt end up to the butt plate recess. There are several markings on the stock however I can not vouch for the authenticity of any of them except for the three digit code on the nose. That is undoubtedly authentic. As can be seen in the photograph there are other numbers stamped on the opposite side, a WRA/GHD cartouche with small ordnance escutcheon, a firing proof near the base of the grip and a rack number on the butt, left side. I have no doubt that Rick B could do wonders with the wood repair and can even speak to the cartouche but in the interest of full disclosure, I have my doubts. Still, all the proper characteristics of WRA wood are present so the stock itself stands on its own merits. The price is $150 shipped and insured.
