    WTS M1903 National Match

I have an extra M1903 NM rifle. It is an unmarked ( except for the small S in the cutoff recess ) pre WW2 pistol grip ( "C" ) stock. It has a NS marked bolt, but no serial number. It has all the characteristics of a NM otherwise including a Star gauged barrel, polished rails, heavy checkered buttplate, and a serial number (1377737 ) in the proper range. It is not listed in the Springfield Research Service ( SRS ) records, but it is close to some that are listed:

    1377701 NM 05/14/35 C A NUTT (SALE)
    1377711 NM 12/29/32 SA SALE
    1377721 NM 05/16/35 A SHIEF (SALE)
    1377723 NM 11/25/32 SA SALE
    1377726 NM 05/14/35 W H MEISTER (SALE)

The stock has the original finish as well as the metal. The bore is strong and some what bright with a little frosting in the grooves. A M2 bullet shows about 1/4" from the muzzle to the case mouth. I think it will shoot very well. Shipping will be about $35.00 plus insurance depending on your ZIP. I am asking $1500.00 or best offer.

I think the the DCM records are incorporated into the SRS records, but I could be wrong.

This is what I show on my excel program for those rifles. I have a searchable database loaded so I don't have to sift through pages and I can bring it to shows without carrying several books.
