Thanks, that was a beautiful airplane. I remember when a F-104 chase plane got caught in wing tip vortex and crashed into the 2nd Valkyrie. The reason it was never built was the new high altitude SAM's that Russia developed... high altitude and Mach 3 speed was not enough protection. ICBM's were better.

Once at Luke AFB, AZ my wife and I saw it make two low paaes, but don't know if it landed. I was retired from the AF then and we wern't going to the base at that time. Even going slow it looked FFffaassttttt.
