    Looks like Stuckey's ...

gave up on pecan goodies. I know the chain has seen some hard times. Here's a former Stuckey's roadside store and station at Tokio in eastern Washington. I go by that a lot on my way to N. Idaho and just had to take a picture this time.

After years of corporate mismanagement, the Stuckey family has taken over what is left of the chain, but not this one! Stuckey's had a kind of interesting history, you can look it up.

Pecan logs with a buzz for the road!

This past weekend I was working an outing for our charity kids. Had over 160 kids there. I was helping with the picnic games and noticed one of the girls about 10 years old was holding her burlap sack up ready to race. Most were all potato and coffee bean sacks. Then there was one she was holding up:

Not wanting to draw bad attention we ran the race. Then pulled it from circulation down at the end. Don't know how or who might have slipped it in there. Six of us got a pretty good "oh xxxx..shhhh" chuckle out of it though.
