it is humorous. simply amazing the changes in the use of the english language over time. shakespeare is almost a foreign language , but even reading something as recent as zane grey, the differences in the use of english is profound.

I don't get it. That's how I tell the tale. All but for the role of the Colonial. In my version she's from the Swedish bikini team.

English has changed very fast since the inter-war years. Even Eddie Rickenbacker used a Victorian flair when he wrote his book.

I remember reading a semi- fiction tale about ranching in AZ in the 1880's. The dialogue was so authentic is was nearly undecipherable.

There is a reasoN we don't use all those words anymore... The same reason we don't need buggywhips, dial phones, etc... the lsit goes on. UNNECESSARY !
