    Hero firefighters in CA...

    This video takes a few minutes but gives you a close up look at the devastation that took place.

    To give you an idea how fast this moved it went from Santa Rosa to Calistoga over the hills to hwy 101 in under 4 hours. In some cases the fire was traveling the length of a football field every three seconds.

    Just got back from a visit to my daughter's home, and our adjacent cabin, both 110 years old. They survived in an isolated pocket in the center of the Nun's (formerly Adobe) fire. We are truly blessed. Driving my normal route to the property, I saw only isolated damage, but it was heartbreaking nonetheless. There are thousands less fortunate - that was NASTY session. Lots of "Thank You First Responder" signs and American flags.
