    Baby it is cold outside!!!

-9 @0530! This past summer my bride and I didn't need the A/C in our bedroom only a fan where before the A/C was welcomed. Global warming, not at my house. What is your 20 and temp?

Chicago. Sub freezing all week with temps flickering into the minus.

It is strange, with this major cold snap, to not hear the weatherboy/girl use the term "Alberta Clipper". In over 50 years of face-to-face weather briefings and broadcast weather reports, I was accustomed to hearing the term when the cold curtain fell from the North. I have not heard the term used in several years. Regards, Clark

I don't think the liberals want that term used any more. They insist because of global warming that cold fronts, especially those strong enough to have a name simply don't happen any more. They don't want Al Gore to look any dumber than he is.

London, Ontario, Canada. Current temperature is -13C(8.6F) with a wind chill that makes it feel like -26C(-15F). Been feeling sorry for the people in Phoenix and their 15F(-9C) with a high of 22F(-5.6C). They must be freezing. Don't know what they'd do if it ever got cold. snicker.
An "Alberta Clipper" is a gentle but fast wind blamed on the nice people of Alberta. It's actually a low pressure area caused by warm, moist winds from the Pacific Ocean and BC's mountains. Bit colder than the really crappy weather a Colorado Low sends to Ontario. Generally does not go in North Carolina's direction.

Phoenix AZ, 58 F on my patio; doesn't matter what the 'official temp' is at the airport. Sometime today, I guess, I'll have to go shovel some sunshine off my driveway.
