          Everybody's uniform looks like it was just dry cleaned and ironed. I can just hear the sergeant telling the troops that they were going to be photographed and to make sure that they were ready for a commanding officer inspection

              An older former co-worker who was in the National Guard during this period told me that the M2 fifty cal with the short barrel was less than useful. He said that the M2 was transformed and improved by the heavy barrel. Regards, Clark

                Wrap puttees in 1938 come as a surprise to me. I would have thought canvas leggings would have long previously replaced them. And the PFC firing the M1 with his eyes closed is a hoot!
