Fergies rendition of the National Anthem?

She tried to jazz it. I didn't care for it as it sounded like a mockery to me. (first impressions count)
I reckon if you enjoy the Jimi Hendrix version, or Monroe's rendition of 'Happy Birthday', you probably will.

Then there is the comment by Mr. Dingle Dork himself, Bob Saget. "What can you expect from a song written by Francis Scott Out Of Key?" Show's how much that sad excuse for a comedian knows, eh?

who is Fergie? She didn't look like the English Fergie that was married to the Royal Family about 25 years ago.

Wasnt as bad as I thought after it hit the interwebs as news. My preference has always been more instrumental than vocal.

That's the lady-like and respectful Fergie
The American Fergie is from the group 'Black-eyed Peas'. She can sing.

The English Fergie would be the Duchess of York. Formerly married to Andrew, Duke of York, the second son of Liz and the 'real Duke', Philip of Greece and Denmark.
The other one is some singer from California.

Yeah, a bit of over reacting. Given how so much disrespect has been shown our flag and anthem by pro athletes in recent history, it's the wrong song to use at the wrong time. Poor taste? Poor timing? A bit of both? Perhaps it was intentional as another form of protest?
All I know is that is surely struck me as being "wrong".

She did say she likes to experiment and tried her best. Did you see the looks on the athletes as she sang????

Like Sunray said you are thinking of Sarah Ferguson . She has aged a little bit from what we remember her by. With a nickname this weird there should only be one Fergie.

SOB! I know people age, but since I don't follow the royals much, that was kind of a shock.
