    What is going on in this case? He shot this guy in a movie theater and still has not stood trail.

      He tried to get the charge thrown out and failed, apparently. One of those instances where carrying doesn't pay off.

          He cited "stand your ground" but the court ruled that a handful of tossed popcorn wasn't life threatening. This killing is all on him and it's going to take a lot more time to build any kind of defense for him losing his temper.
