As I understand it, if/when the new bump stock rule kicks in, there's no grandfathering. They're all unregisterable MG parts, with some finite time for their disposition. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

The main goal is to create a Surveillance and Snitch society.
Get a bump stock, wipe it clean, plant it in the trunk of an anti-gunner and .....

In the public interest of being "safe" what exactly is public safety? The old adage of "One man's meat is another man's poison." could apply to almost any object. Some people have objected to large pickup trucks with enormous brush guards as being a danger if hitting another smaller vehicle. Will these be restricted as well or say large knives or rubber bands? Their is ways to bring about opinion on our side and that is will ridicule. Make what is being done as foolish and those who are doing it as goofy as possible. Ridicule is one thing that most humans detest being used against them. If the argument can be made to look stupid, less people will want to participate in it and will hopefully back out. I have seen people simulate auto fire by holding the weapon loosely or using a rubber band. Could we in a joking manner ask if rubber bands will now be serialized and registered? Humor and absurdity can be powerful weapons of counterpoint if used in a logical manner.

How many rubber bands did they find in Stephen Paddock's hotel room? Seems like a logical enough question.

Good question, "Inquiring minds want to know!" Society must guard itself against those deadly "assault" rubber bands and keep them out of the hands of children. Togor do you really need rubber bands, I think not. Rubber bands are dangerous in the wrong hands and must be banned for the good of society, what is wrong with plastic paper clips? I once worked with a woman who would shoot a person in the back with a large rubber band...see they are dangerous and must be controlled. Just think how many trees died to produce rubber bands, such a needless waste of mother earths resources, not to mention the air pollution. How many trucks/trains/ships polluted the air in transporting these dangerous devices. Did you know that anyone, including children, have ready access to these dangerous devices. I have heard that teachers have them in their desks at school and sometimes give them to children to use!
